Nose: Spicy notes of black pepper, cumin, bay leaf and oyster mushroom. Porridge with stewed apples and lots of cinnamon. Like a freshly baked strudel with hot custard. Cheddar on toast.
Palate: Medium but concentrated. Bready, sweet and creamy flavours of brioche and cream-laden porridge. Chewy toffee. Red berry strudel. Then sour apricot, before shifting to applesauce, brown sugar and nougat.
Finish: Long, on custard and flaky pastry.

Nose: Delightful cinnamon sticks in hot oat milk, a jar of malted milk biscuits and freshly cut mango.
Palate: This really is a bit like a whiskey chai latte, with lots of cinnamon, more of that creamy hot oat milk and freshly scraped-out vanilla pod.
Finish: Smooth with notes of vanilla to begin with, but then that syrupy mango is brought back.
Comment: Quite an interesting and unexpected dram – once it has had the chance to open up in the glass, it brings plenty of character to enjoy.
