Nose: Rhubarb rock and hard candy. Raspberry ice cream and early summer roses. With water, fizzy sherbet and strawberry syrup. Like a box of sweets!
Palate: More candied berries and jellied sweets. An amalgam of desserts, and puddings with a cinnamon spice coming through.
Finish: Massively sweet.
Comment: Rather a guilty pleasure.
Score: 7.8
Taster
Nose: Bags of honeynut cornflakes, vanilla pods, crème anglaise, almond croissants. Some dried fruits lurk with an almost wet slate quality. Bundles of dried leaves.
Palate: Wonderfully smooth, silky grip, cinnamon buns, dried raisins. Hints of dried leaves come through too.
Finish: Warming, very morish with a gorgeous spiced edge.
Comment: A very subtle sweet whiskey, well balanced and delightful.
Score: 8.2
