More Dramboree than Jamboree, me thinks. Very nice indeed.

Nose: Porridge with maple syrup, into a touch of unusual smokiness and some lingering medicinal cleanliness. Like a gammon coated in black treacle and slightly over cooked perhaps?
Palate: Hugely rich and woody, with a creosote note, leading to a touch of bitter sweet black treacle and a meatiness. Yes, it's that gammon from the nose!\r
Finish: Lingering wood and burnt bonfire smoke, the way everything tastes if you're dining outdoors at a scout camp.
Comment: More Dramboree than Jamboree, me thinks. Very nice indeed.

Taster
Nose: Leafy, woody and autumnal. A little menthol. Melted dark brown sugar. An almost biltong note, air cured beef. A sweet lime peel hit as well.
Palate: Sweet runny honey at first and a citrus tartness. Then that air cured meat note develops, becomes quite medicinal as well.
Finish: That tartness lingers as do the dense smoke notes.
Comment: Seriously interesting whisky, moves as it develops.
Score: 8.4
