Nose

Intense prune juice, cherry jam and blackberry sauce, with dark chocolate and liquorice. Christmas pudding with boozy cream.

Palate

Medium-full, with some ginger heat. Intense mixed red berry, jammy sweetness. Lots of raisin and prunes in syrup. Some tobacco elements.

Finish

Long, on the raisin note.

Comment

Tasty, but a bit unbalanced. It’s had a little too much sherry cask influence for the new spirit to handle, I think.
