Nose: Empty cigar boxes, cedar chips and seasoned logs. Then sweetens up with marzipan and icing sugar. Battenberg cake and cherry jam. Water brings more fruit and tobacco.
Palate: Watermelon flesh, apples and honey, cookie dough and Oreo biscuits. Sweet with Banoffee pie and some milk chocolate.
Finish: Hot and spicy, lots of prickly elements, water really mellows this back and brings more firewood forward.
Comment: It reminds me of eating syrup waffles on Bonfire night.

Taster
Nose: Some serious nuttiness going on with peanut brittle, brioche buns and Hobnobs yet it still remains light and airy. Think Victoria sponges topped with orange jelly babies.
Palate: Starts off with notes of single cream, basil and dried mango but soon after some Nutella and banana toast with a sprinkling of cinnamon.
Finish: A pretty blunt finish yet there is a light spice lingering for a teeny bit.
Comment: Honestly…it’s kind of like a rich tea biscuit. It’s great but you doze off after the 4th one.
Score: 7.8
