Taster

Nose: Resiny. Sun warmed pine needles. Quite unusual. Touch of honey. Reminds me of cough lozenges called 'Pastilles des Vosges'

Palate: Smooth, velvety. Sweet at first then drying on spices. Becomes sherbety.\rThe same balsamic notes as on the nose. Resin and mint.

Finish: Dry, slightly sharp.

Comment: Not unpleasant but one dimensional. With some astringency on the finish.

Score: 7.6

Taster

Nose: Toasted marshmallows. Fresh shaved oak, salted popcorn, damp wool, a leafy mulch note and dates.

Palate: Sweet honey and apple cake, Maderia cake, runny honey, Caramac bars and then a deep earthy note.

Finish: Short and spicy.

Comment: An interesting dram with some lovely sweet notes.
