Lacking some cohesion. Enjoyable though.

Nose: Cherry lips and Parma violets, a little glue stick and barley water flavoured with lime and pear. Neat and strong elderflower cordial, roast hazelnuts, tweed picnic blankets. Then beeswax polish, vinyl records and cardboard. Finally fresh hints of sandalwood.
Palate: Very sweet with Chocolate-coated almonds, roast apple slices with brown sugar. Cold honey roast ham and charcoal wafers.
Finish: Huge tannins make it seriously mouth-puckering.
Comment: Lacking some cohesion. Enjoyable though.

Taster
Nose: This is one fruity Speyside rammed full of green apple laces, strawberry toothpaste and Wrigley’s Juicyfruit chewing gum. Hints of liquorice and some heather honey.
Palate: Candied fruits have become sour plums and baked rhubarb with a slice of carrot and walnut cake. Touches of gorse flower, cashew milk and honeycomb.
Finish: A long, dry finish with wisps of lavender tea to round it all up.
Comment: A Speyside that gives you every possible element of fruity – fresh, sour, cooked and candied.
Score: 8.2
