Nose: Like walking into a church after the service has finished, incense, wood polish, old books and flower bouquets. Also fruit cake notes with dried apricots and apple slices.
Palate: Very mellow with everything in its place. The fruit cake notes come through and the oak grips gently. Spices lurk nicely.
Finish: Dries with hazelnuts.
Comment: A great whisky well knitted together and integrated.
Score: 8.4

Nose: Intense and fragrant. A heady floral note enticingly combined with exotic wood. Lily of the valley or just lily. Sandalwood. Followed by dried fruit.Apricot, sultanas.
Palate: Round and mellow. Alcohol is under control. Oak is present but well integrated. Sweet dried fruit.
Finish: Slightly dry and nutty. With an exotic fruit aftertaste.
Comment: A rich and well structured whisky. Amazingly smooth given its strength.
Score: 8.5
