Nose: Tropical fruits, pineapple, papaya and red grapes, meets the English hedgerow: blackberries, raspberries and redcurrants. There’s cherry boiled sweets.
Palate: Now the spices show their hand, with the oak lactones. Vanilla pods, new pencils and fresh planed oak panels. Orange pith, then fruits with cherry compote and strawberry soufflé.
Finish: Huge orange barley sugar sweetness slowly takes its time to let go, and also apple juice-soaked granola.
Comment: A stonking whisky with some lovely red fruit elements.

Taster
Nose: Raspberry and lime jelly with coconut flakes and wisps of charcoaled lemon peel. Cremola foam. Roasted hazelnuts. That smell right after a thunderstorm on a muggy summer’s day.
Palate: Coconut and almond stir fry with freshly squeezed lime. Followed by rich notes of used coffee granules, cocoa powder and Dundee cake served with brandy butter.
Finish: A rich buttery yet juicy consistency with a bitter twist
Comment: A total tongue twister giving a different element with each sip.
Score: 8.9
