Nose

Tight and herbal with malt, barley, straw and dunnage. Mature with toasty, fragrant oak, lime, greengage, gooseberry and rye-like herbs. Water brings out the oak and citrus. \n

Palate

Softer and more open with apricots in light syrup, malt, straw and rye-like herbs. Well integrated and keeps the oak in check. Water flattens as it emphasises the oils.\n

Finish

Neat, it’s a little masked, but herbal with sweet American oak. \n

Comment

Neat the alcohol is well contained until the finish. Great nose.
