Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: A very fruity nose: tangerine peel, marmalade, tinned peaches, slightly waxy.

Palate: Best drunk neat. A gentle, quite sweet palate. There's a little woodiness, but the main effect is of ripe sweet fruit.

Finish: A hint of smoke.

Comment: Gentle and well-balanced.

Score: 7.8

Taster

Nose: Fresh sea smells. A walk in the dunes.

Palate: Fresh, creamy. Reminded me of a mustardy hollandaise sauce (perhaps served with samphire).

Finish: Fruity, mustardy, dry.

Comment: Not one of the peaty vintages, and would have benefited from some other element to lift the creaminess.
