Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Taster

Nose: Butter. Shortbread.

Palate: Lots of flavour development. Slowly revealing layers of spiciness. Lemon zest. Allspice. Ginger. Expressive, diverting.

Finish: Teasing waft of smokiness on the tongue.

Comment: Delicious, especially if you have a sweet tooth.

Score: 8

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Autumnal. Old leather, gun oil, dried flowers with a lift of raspberry. Rich, burnt/roasted meaty notes with treacle and light smoke.

Palate: Seems old. Truffles, smoke, Seville orange peel, antique shops, leather and a Sunday roast on the table.

Finish: Long and balanced.

Comment: The wood is ever present but it is working in harmony with the spirit – which has the depth of character to cope. At its peak.
