Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Light, creamy and sweet. Toast, vanilla ice cream, basil/anise, butter and sugar folded together. In time a note of pewter and bracken.

Palate: Gentle and light, though leaner than the nose. Tight grippy oak, glimpses of peach between the slats. Fine grip. Cashew nut with water. Butter.

Finish: Softens slightly, custard.

Comment: Well balanced if just a little oaky.

Score: 7.8

Taster

Nose: Fresh, ripe, sweet, apples (a burnished gold, like the whisky). Mouthwateringly appetising.

Palate: Perfumy. Expressive. Rounded. Greets with a firm kiss. Intense. Pastis. Crèpes. Tarte tatin. Clovey.

Finish: Spicy but very gentle. Caressing, soothing.

Comment: A delicious afterdinner malt.
