Nose

Vibrant yet stately. Seville orange marmalade, treacle, dried figs and dates. Sweet blackcurrants then raisins, fino sherry, wafts of caramel.

Palate

Viscous and delicious. Port, elderberry and blackcurrant, with praline, walnuts and milk chocolate. Raisins. Turkish delight. Mince pies with maple syrup and Tiramisu.

Finish

Long; dates, raisins and cocoa. Ground almonds, nutmeg and cinnamon.

Not fully rounded but, by thunder, this is tasty. You’ll need a sweet tooth…
