Nose
Initially quite dry, then juicy malt and overripe pulpy fruit begins to take over. Muscovado sugar, chocolate, a light winey/black fruit, then orange fruit pastilles. Juicy!
Palate
Good start mixing sweet malty weight with those black fruits within a fairly firm oak frame. Medium-bodied and rich with a soft feel.
Finish
Oakiness increases, then smoke. A bit short?
Comment
Charms on the nose but a bit too oaky.
