Tasting Notes

Nose

Shades of dark treacle toffee and Riga Black Balsam, a little menthol and coal tar soap. Then Latakia tobacco and aging cigars in a humidor. Picked walnut skins. There is a gentle rubberness, like new bike tyres.

Palate

Rye bread pep with really dark, rich honey. Baked apples and cinnamon spice. More dark juicy fruits abound with damsons and blackberries.

Finish

Jammy, with dark honey sweetness.

Comment

An interesting mixed bag of a whisky, with lovely integration of flavours.
