A wonderful line between sweet and earthy, a hint of smoke could be an interesting addition too.

Nose: Soft and gentle, black cherry compote and vanilla ice cream, Tunnocks teacakes. Then a little darker note comes in, fresh turned earth, malt barns.
Palate: Moves into quite a woody side, mossy and earth-laden. Freshly lit cigars and a very milky coffee.
Finish: Warm plum pudding with tonnes of vanilla custard, just takes time to go.
Comment: A wonderful line between sweet and earthy, a hint of smoke could be an interesting addition too.

Taster
Nose: Sweetly perfumed, like an orchard in spring with the heady scent of blossom, and juicy apples, pears and apricots drizzled with acacia honey.
Palate: Soft, delicate and balanced, with an almost zen-like calmness. The same fruits return, wrapped in a swirl of honey, vanilla crème and a dash of baking spice.
Finish: Toasted oak, dried apple pieces and some caramel.
Comment: A perfect balance between fruity Speyside distillate and the cask.
Score: 8.5
