Tasting Notes

Nose

A mature nose of earthy, lightly perfumed barley, hints of marzipan and toasted toffee. Some lightly oxidised fruit and creamy vanilla emerge along with a touch of cedar and herbs.

Palate

Initially it’s tart and citric but the sugar coated, mature barley and straw notes balance. Subtle and elegant with a touch of lightly oiled marzipan, grass and tongue tingling spice.\n

Finish

Good mineral finish with lingering vanilla and barley along with late notes of mocha and dark toffee.\n

Comment

Its maturity is obvious from the onset, the citrus notes give it a lovely vibrancy.
