Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Butter scotch, caramel toffee, rum and raisin, light fruits behind with a hint of toasted malt. Very sweet and floral. Silky and sensual.

Palate: Chewy and tongue-coating, the alcohol gives it an extra boost towards the finish. More grip than you expect. Light level of complexity, but a good spread of flavours.

Finish: Gorse-like with a buzzing gingery quality.

Comment: Balanced and charming.

Score: 8

Taster

Nose: Sweet and tender. Vanilla biscuits. Poached pears. Lemonade. A hint of yeast. Fresh herbs. Dill and mint.

Palate: Sweet and mouthcoating. Waxy. More vanilla. Creamy. Peach flan. Pleasant feel. Spices tease the tongue. A touch of salted mustard.

Finish: Drying on white pepper and ginger. Medium long.

Comment: A pleasant example of a good maturation in a bourbon cask. Quite refreshing. Water cuts the edges. To match with raw salmon.
