Nose

It needs some time (and water) to open up, but when it does you’re rewarded with dried fruits – lemon peel, raisins, orange zest, dates, a hint of PX Sherry and nuts.

Palate

Surprisingly easy to drink at such a high ABV, but with a touch of water it bursts into life, with vibrant citrus peel, dried fruits, macadamias, wood spice and PX sweetness.

Finish

Fruity, nutty and long, with a touch of charcoal on the end.

Comment

This is a beautifully balanced whisky, I’m excited to see what this distillery does next.
