A lovely number with some sweet notes going on in the middle. Honey-laden like a good soul singer.

Nose: Heather-laden honey, oatcakes (the chocolate ones), crunchy granola with tea-soaked raisins, salted caramel sauce.
Palate: That caramel sauce note comes through, Swiss milk chocolate, then some fresh fruits, strawberries, redcurrants and figs.
Finish: Takes a little time but just keeps going once it starts.
Comment: A lovely number with some sweet notes going on in the middle. Honey-laden like a good soul singer.
Score: 8.4
Taster
Nose: Oily and intriguing with a dense fruitiness in banana chips, figs, dried strawberries and blueberry leather. It’s accompanied by roasted hazelnuts and toasted almond flakes with a glazed crème caramel.
Palate: Rich and oily with fragrant freshly polished leather that relax into an earthy, sherried fruitiness full of red grapes, old red wine, maraschino and hazelnuts too.
Finish: A rich, peppery and slightly tannic Shiraz with the sweetness of dried figs.
Comment: Deep, delicious, divine.
Score: 9.4
