Nose
Lightly perfumed: fondant icing, sweet cereal, apricot jam, clove, almost like a light gold rum. Drier and grassier with water.
Palate
Silky. Nut and vanilla. Dries nicely in the middle. Flowers and spiciness on the back palate.
Finish
Soft and malty.
Comment
Just enough oak for structure. A real surprise for a distillery which can often be pretty bland.
