Nose

Flat out spice races through, chilli, cardamom and black pepper, then settles into milk chocolate and hazelnuts. Goat's cheese with borage honey on oatcakes. A lovely cereal note.

Palate

Menthol, then orange jelly and chocolate sprinkles, trifle – fruit, cream and chocolate. Like well oak-aged chardonnay. Green tea tannins.

Finish

Sharp and then all malty, sweet cereal, cornflakes and sugar. White chocolate and tonka bean.

A belter from the English grain scene, excellent stuff.
