Taster

Nose: Very open and fresh, with a fresh fruit salad, placed on top of a bowl of hot milky porridge, drizzled in manuka honey. There’s a hint of anise creeping in too.

Palate: Still chock full of fruit, with the addition of mango chunks, orange marmalade and some cinnamon spice. Rounds out with more honey and a light freshness.

Finish: Long, with Burt’s Bees lip balm. Bright, fresh fruit salad rounds out the finish.

Comment: Open and offered plenty of complexity. Really beautifully done.

Score: 8.7

Taster

Nose: Violin rosin, tropical fruit juice, furniture polish, orange zest oils, bergamot, cinnamon stick, and thyme. There’s some sweet biscuit notes, with blossom honey and white grape.

Palate: Medium bodied. Lovely sweet stewed apple and pear notes, with caramel-dipped peaches and cassis. Gentle tannins and then candied orange, with a touch of ginger.

Finish: Medium, with emphasis on the orange and polish notes.

Comment: A mature Speysider with an easygoing nature that belies the ABV.
