Nose

Good rich, toffeed maltiness. Water brings out American oak and lemon, mink oil/dubbin, dry grass and cold tea. Becomes crisp and nutty.

Palate

Rounded, medium-sweet start. Crisper and nuttier later with smoke and light toasted oakiness on the back palate. Nice weight.

Finish

Dries suddenly leaving a little bitterness.

Comment

A sweet cask and a firm spirit more or less in harmony.
