Nose: Gooseberry,grape,tingling pineapple, very clean.
Palate: Oily, rich sweet and full, with intense fruitness and a firm peaty underlay.
Finish: Lovely with the sweet summer fruits giving way to some tannins late on.
Comment: A surprising flavour for this distillery, but good to see the Society's standards aren't slipping.
Nose: Perfumy. Cedar, fading rose, cloved orange. Like opening granny's wardrobe Marzipan. Keeps an enticing freshness. Elegant and complex.
Palate: Silky, caressing. Oak is perfectly integrated. Exotic fruit. Guava juice\rwith a touch of mango. Water brings the cedar note forward.
Finish: Lingering, spicy. Marzipan in the back.
Comment: Tastes old.Superb. Refined and complex. Still so lively and fresh. Hard\rto leave...
