Nose

Peppery spice at first, backed up by gentle grassiness. Demerara sugar and candied orange peel, along with orange curd. Fairy cakes. Apricot Danish pastry and some savoury nutty notes.

Palate

Light bodied. A hint of ripe blackberry, with cocoa powder, ground cinnamon, milk chocolate-coated peanuts, and floral orange notes. Freshly baked sponge, like madeleines.

Finish

Medium, on spiced Devon apple cake and milk chocolate.

Comment

Enough malty complexity to keep it interesting.
