Taster
Nose: arry, with old leather notes, a tiny note of tropical fruit (mango and passion fruit) mandarin segments and fresh cherries. A fruit filled leather satchel if you like...
Palate: Slightly tannic, with black well-brewed tea, a bold dried fruit base (figs and sultanas) a touch of buttery toffee and ripe bananas.
Finish: Bittersweet with more of the tannic tea and sour cherries.
Comment: Perhaps a little over the hill in places, but the fruit on the nose more than makes up for any of its little indiscretions.
Score: 8.1
