Tasting Notes

Nose

Deep, luscious liquid orange, barley and toasted oak. Subtle peat smoke along with straw, coffee, light treacle and tar. The peated component appears to have some age.

Palate

Oily barley followed by orange, honey, apricot, apple and vanilla oak. Showing slight maturity with peat smoke coming through, becoming quite medicinal.

Finish

Long with lingering mature oak, violet, peat smoke and a touch of camphor.

Comment

That’s how to use peated malt in a blend! Superb progression.
