Palate: Oily with some fruitiness but a carbolic soap flavour begins to dominate.
Finish: Short.

Taster
Nose: Perfumy. Crème caramel. Crème brûlée. Then slightly acidic.
Palate: A hint of black chocolate. Dry. Cider apples. Cedary. Slightly woody. Astringent.
Finish: Slightly bitter.
Comment: The fresh, charming bouquet was a revelation, but the palate was a little careworn.
Score: 7.5
