ABV 48.9%

Despite the rich descriptors, I found this slightly sharp with some vintage Glenfiddichs.

Taster

Nose: Pastry out of a hot oven. Slightly smoky. Fresh pears in butterscotch sauce.

Palate: Light to medium body. Like exploring a box of chocolates. Milk chocolate first, then dark. Chocolate limes (perhaps the odd kumquat), then mint creams.

Finish: Liqueur-ish. Soothing.

Comment: Despite the rich descriptors, I found this slightly sharp with some vintage Glenfiddichs.

Score: 8.3

Taster

Nose: Aromatic. Hyacinth, raisin, dried apple, chocolate cake, preserved plum. Good depth and complexity.

Palate: Soft with a good steady flow. Chocolate ganash, orange, tobacco. Flattens a little towards the finish. Good grip.

Finish: Fragrant. Spiced oranges. Grand Champagne Cognac.

Comment: All very elegant and sophisticated.
