Nose
Baked plums and fig jam. Pumpkin pie, physalis and tangerine with fresh oak. Water develops orange turn over cake, dark butterscotch sauce and warm, damp leather.
Palate
Very warming and quite savoury like bresaola. Spicier fruit notes of orange and grapefruit peel. A slow burn with brown toast and plum jam, cardamom in the finish.
Finish
Masculine and earthy, and yet refined. Sizzling over the tongue, long and satisfying.
Comment
This is a wonderful bottling. It has the suave and brooding character of Mr Fox in Jemima Puddleduck.
