Taster

Nose: Grainy. Flour-like. Pastry fresh out of the oven.

Palate: Sweet spiciness. Cinnamon. Savoury and sweet. Meaty. Pine nuts. Moroccan pastilla.

Finish: Piney. Balsamic. Peppery.

Comment: A lot happening. A very lively whisky.

Taster

Nose: Extremely peaty with cereal/dried grasses/brown bracken behind. Smoked fish/venison and tar. Becomes rubbery with water.

Palate: Good delivery with lots of smoke, then gymshoe soles. Young.

Finish: Smoke and oatcake.

Comment: For serious peat freaks only. Would have been better if kept in cask for a few more years.
