Taster

Nose: Oak, cedar, spearmint.

Palate: Cypress. Sweet leaves. Fruity, winey, oaky.

Finish: Hint of peat. Powerful. Slightly woody.

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Fat and very sherried: walnut, treacle toffee, sticky toffee pudding, raisin and a strangely vegetal note.

Palate: Full-on sherry. The wood seems to have taken charge, giving it a slight astringency.

Finish: Long. Walnut bread. Dry.

Comment: Well made, but there's just too much sherry character which diminishes any complexity. A shame for the spirit which seems very good.
