Taster

Nose: Wonderful earthy, leafy tones, autumnal walks through the woods Seasoning tobacco leaves, toasted marshmallow, polished oak floorboards, rattan baskets, toasted sesame seeds and soy sauce.

Palate: Initially very savoury, sesame seeds and prawn toast, then the sweetness\rbuilds up. Maple syrup, honey roast peanuts and lemon drizzle cake.

Finish: Big, grippy and lush.

Comment: A serious whisky that demands your full attention.

Score: 8.2

Taster

Nose: Minerally, with hot slates, some rye spiciness, black cherry, liquorice and\rslightly tarry rope, with a pronounced Bourbon sweetness.

Palate: Sweet, very creamy, with coconut milk, a touch of parma violet, fresh ripe\rcherries, a slice of mango and vanilla.

Finish: Sweet wheatiness, a touch of rye spice and a solid foundation of malty bread.

Comment: It pulls in a number of directions, but each one is equally interesting and exciting. Terrific stuff.
