Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Like walking past a working sawmill or carpenter's workshop, gentle rum and raisin, toasted marshmallows, coconut milk, macaroons, kiwi fruit and freshly opened pencil boxes.

Palate: Sweet and fruity with a warm Danish pastry and custard note. A brief spice\rhit but then it seems to disappear mid palate. A slight bitter oak bite.

Finish: Crisp, clean with toffee notes lingering.

Comment: A decent well put together whisky.

Score: 7.6

Taster

Nose: Spiced pears in white wine, aromatic wood notes (cedar and sandalwood)\rwith a creamy Bourbonesque note, back-dropped by golden syrup. What's\rnot to like here?

Palate: The spiced orchard fruits continue onto the palate, with some additional\rtangerine sweetness, fresh cherries and vanilla.

Finish: Oaky, yet, light and rich, with the vanilla leaving the biggest impression.

Comment: A continuation from the previous, in terms of style, with definite notes of citrus and pleasant oak.
