18 Years Old
Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Rubbery. Acrylic paint. Opens on more pleasant notes. Thyme infusion. Hint of eucalyptus. A medicinal character. Herbalist's shop.
Palate: Smooth. Sweet at start then drying on oak notes and spices. Again the thyme infusion with a bitter touch as if it had been infused too long.
Finish: Dry, spicy.
Comment: The nose is appealing but the sherry makes the palate a bit dour.\rWould certainly warm you up on a frosty morning.
Nose: Maple syrup, leather, a little heather honey and dried cooking herbs. There\ris a little mintiness to this as well.
Palate: Sweet until the oak begins to show through. That herbal quality is here but\ralso a citrus edge.
Finish: Long and a little dry.
Comment: Oh for a cold dark night with an open fire, this would be near perfection.
