Taster

Nose: Raspberry fromage frais, fresh blueberry, lemon hard candy, and spearmint. Delicate white flower notes, bruised strawberry, and hot mash.

Palate: Medium-full. Chewy wholegrain cereal notes, like brown bread with butter and raspberry jam. Fresh blackberries, fudge, and some tart fruit – under-ripe peach and physalis. Under this, strawberry cable candy. Cashew butter.

Finish: Medium, on sticky toffee pudding and peanut.

Comment: Simply put, this is why people drink Scotch.

Taster

Nose: Liquorice, milk chocolate, and mint humbugs. Coffee with cream. Ripe peach and apricot. Vanilla fairy cakes with buttercream. Candied orange peel, delicate florals, and a little oyster mushroom.

Palate: Medium. Pie crust and creamy mushrooms. Milk-chocolate coated caramels and coffee creams. Wholemeal bread and duck fat. More hints of liquorice, peach, and apricot, with lemon yoghurt.

Finish: Medium, on wholemeal toast with butter and apricot preserve.

Comment: The husky, bready note running through gave it nice grounding.
