Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Cereal with some nutty/toffee notes and baked fruits. Water kills it.

Palate: Light-to middle-weight, and though it has quite a 'thick' feel it lacks any complexity. Immature?

Finish: Heathery.

Comment: A bit disappointing.

Score: 6.5

Taster

Nose: Intense and sharp. Slightly spirity. Leafy. Fern. Cherry trifle. White pepper.

Palate: Enveloping and warm. Velvety. Cream fudge. A lot of spices. Nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper.

Finish: Long-lasting. Warm. Gently vanishing with almonds and nuts.

Comment: Quite a muscular Speysider. The perfect dram to buck you up after a woodland walk mushroom-picking on a cold November day.

Score: 7.5
