Nose

Caramel macchiato coffee. Lemon buttercream icing on sponge cake. Tinned fruit salad and fresh pear. Almond frangipane. Raw sweetcrust pastry dough, eggy and buttery.

Palate

Light. Pear drop, toffee penny, and sweet stewed apple. The filling from a cinnamon bun (sugar, butter, ground cinnamon). Toasted almond.

Finish

A hint of aniseed emerges with fresh apple on the finish, which is fairly brief.

Comment

Light and easygoing. Can see it making a refreshing highball.
