Taster

Nose: A whisky which, on the nose, could have done longer in the cask but I like the energy that has been captured. Vibrant and delicious.

Palate: And on the palate, this gives you soft summer fruits, cracked black pepper, balsamic vinegar (only the best) and oily goodness. It’s big and bold and I like that.\n

Finish: Spices are the dominant flavour, with no subtlety at all.\n

Comment: This is big and bold. Only for the brave.

Taster

Nose: Very herbal, nettly and vegetal with pure Amontillado-esque sherry. Salty and edgy with a profusion of walnut, almond and pecan, dark honey and vanilla laced fruitcake.

Palate: Still very nutty but less herbal and funky than the nose with plenty of coffeed tannins, caramel, salt and dried treacle fruitcake. The alcohol adds a balance to the sweetness. \n

Finish: Intense, salty and nutty with the funky character returning. \n

Comment: A funky, herbal, sherry monster. Goes rather well with a cigar!
