Incredibly floral – not really the sort of thing I associate with American whiskey, but it’s interesting!

Taster

Nose: Tropical mango, papaya, pineapple and lychee with some lime zest, pickled gherkin, copper, beeswax and dusty floorboards.

Palate: Floral and fruity, particularly fermented pineapple and lychee. Vanilla, more of that gherkin, plus a distinct rose character. There’s a touch of quinine bitterness on the mid-palate too.

Finish: Parma Violets, potpourri and cereal. Breakfast of champions.

Comment: Incredibly floral – not really the sort of thing I associate with American whiskey, but it’s interesting!

Taster

Nose: Pearl barley and porridge oats. Aniseed at the end. Peaches, mango, raspberries, settling to baked apples. Nectarines

Palate: Feels more like a mixed-mash than a pure malt. Velvety and vanilla-led, with notes of blood oranges, Brazil nuts, green tea, floral honey and touches of green tobacco.

Finish: Silky, slightly warming with a tobacco and green tea returning.

Comment: Easy drinking, polished and with enough flavour to please many a whiskey drinker.
