Enjoyable dram, enjoyed it much more once it opened up and with no water. Well balanced and thoroughly enjoyable.

Taster

Nose: Enchanting, ginger, a little citrus peel, freshly ground malted barley finishing on lovely mowed hay notes.

Palate: Great balance, fruit and spice. Honey, faint butterscotch, raisins moving into spicy orange with a discreet hint of air dried wood.

Finish: Dry, no astringency which is appetising. Medium length, lush fading vanilla.

Comment: Enjoyable dram, enjoyed it much more once it opened up and with no water. Well balanced and thoroughly enjoyable.

Taster

Nose: Gorgeously honeyed with thick slabs of exotic fruit – peach, mango, pineapple, honeydew melon all delightfully sprinkled with caster sugar. Hints of vanilla and a thread of mineral accented lemon emerges.

Palate: Oilier than the nose, which subdues the exuberance of the tropical fruit. There is more barley but the fruit certainly hasn’t disappeared! Lovely balancing citrus and minerality.

Finish: Long and oily with barley, minerals and vanilla lingering.

Comment: A real fruit bomb of a malt!
