Nose

Medjool dates, demerara sugar, woody cinnamon, and a hint of mushroom. Then fresh strawberry and raspberry with meringue and vanilla cream, and hints of grapefruit and kiwi.

Palate

Medium-full. Caramel-drizzled sponge cake. Summer fruit compote with more vanilla-rich cream. A little fresh fig. A slightly savoury nuttiness, like toasted hazelnuts, and hints of orange zest.

Finish

Medium, on the summer fruits and caramel.

An easy-going fruit-forward dram that makes me think of summer.
