Nose

The spiciness of charred new oak. Crème brûlée with a crunchy top. Vanilla bean paste and fresh fig. It has overtones of tiramisu: mascarpone, a hint of espresso powder, and sponge fingers.

Palate

Medium bodied, with slight oiliness. The tiramisu notes of coffee and mascarpone continue with milk chocolate, subtle date, orange marmalade, and black cherry. A nuttiness, like that from sloe berries, and more woody spice.

Finish

Medium. Cinnamon and orange peel, accompanied by gentle tannins.

Like a pillowy dessert.
