Nose

Sweet spiced carrot cake with cream-cheese filling. Caramel macchiato coffee. Toasted pecan and prune. A thick, oily strip of orange peel. A touch of salty Ibérico ham.

Palate

Full. Marmite and butter on wholemeal toast. Runny chocolate ganache and honeycomb pieces. Glacé cherry and bitter orange marmalade. Hints of strong espresso and sweet paprika.

Finish

Long, on marmalade and chocolate-dipped honeycomb. Parting hint of grassy spice.

Rich and balanced – couldn’t ask for much more.
