Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Looks like a rose wine, smells like a rose wine. Straw and strawberry. Sweet shop/dolly mixtures. Herbaceous.

Palate: Seems slightly confected but this is knocked aside as malt comes through. Soft fruits. Has balance.

Finish: Jammy.

Comment: This just balances the whiskey and the finish.

Score: 7.8

Arthur Motley

Taster

Nose: Strawberry jam, pineapple and apples. Forest floor (earthy and leafy).

Palate: Victoria sponge. Very sweet and confected, but not in a nauseating way and underpinned with a little malty, cereal character.

Finish: More sweetness.

Comment: Another success. It walked that fine line between jammy and cloying, just about staying on the right side.
