Taster

Nose: Great intensity of aroma. A huge, old, but gentle bourbon. Cinnamon bark, cedar, high char, heavy perfumed rose, sweet vermouth, spice. It's a ready-made Manhattan!

Palate: Benylin, cherry menthol then allspice. Great length. Water brings out grippy oak.

Finish: Long, slightly grippy.

Comment: A phenomenal whiskey. Stephen Camisa we salute you.

Taster

Nose: Refresher sweeties, turpentine and eucalyptus. Rye in evidence.

Palate: Parma violets, vanilla and sawdust.

Finish: An intense progression of pine, sap and wood. A good chewin' whiskey.

Comment: Remarkably drinkable at full strength, which is just as well as I didn't enjoy it as much once diluted. Impressive: but you must like 'em woody.
