Taster

Nose: Clean, fragrant and attractive. Marzipan and light rye notes: sourdough, fennel seed. With water the bready notes dominate. Floury (and flowery).

Palate: Slightly muted to start then lovely spicy attack. The rye flour re-emerges. Light but well balanced.

Finish: Clean with a hint of sweetness.

Comment: Good balance, with zesty rye touches.

Score: 7.5

Palate: Creamier. Suggestions of clove. Menthol. Woody.

Finish: Green. Like biting on young twigs.

Comment: One to put in the hip-flask for a walk in the forest.
