Nose
A strange meatiness in here. After a while, some lighter floral notes develop, alongside buttery pastry and waft of toasted cereal.
Palate
Warming, with spicy notes of cinnamon, peat smoke, cooking apples and an underlying creaminess. The drying oak creeps back in though.
Finish
Creamy notes, alongside the influence of the oak.
Comment
The persistence of time has been kind to this, up to a point. Some lovely fruity creaminess if you can get past the oak.
